Upcoming September Ohio Marijuana Events

September 2-9 2019

Pumpkin Season Is Here...

Well, fall is finally coming around the bend. September is here, and with it comes pumpkin lattes and falling temperatures.

This season is special to me, personally, as it’s my sister’s birthday in early September (Happy Birthday, Kelly!), my wedding anniversary in mid-September, and the anniversary of when my wife and I adopted our most recent kitty, Emma, in late September. Is there something that makes September special to you? Let us know in the comments!.

This is a pretty light week in terms of cannabis-themed events, but here’s three that might be work a look:

Cleveland - September 4 & 9:

Medical Cannabis Patient Education

September 4 Event:

Where: TownHall 1909 West 25th Street, Cleveland, OH 44113 (get directions)
When: Wednesday, Sept 4, 2019, 6:30PM – 8PM
Price: Free (register here)

Two events for the price of free! RiSE Dispensaries will be hosting two medical cannabis educational seminars, one at TownHall in Cleveland, and one at Brew Garden in Middleburg Heights. Prospective patients, advocates and even those looking to work in the cannabis industry will want to check this event out.

Not only can patients get educated about the health benefits of cannabis, this is also a great way to meet fellow patients and cannabis industry insiders. Light appetizers will be served. The first ten guests at each event will receive a complimentary drink ticket.

September 9 Event:

Where: Brew Garden 18590 Bagley Road, Middleburg Heights, OH 44130
 (get directions)
When: Monday, Sept 9, 2019, 5:30PM – 7:30PM
Price: Free (register here)

Akron - September 6:

Medical Marijuana Symposium

Where: Summit County Public Health 1867 West Market Street, Akron, OH 44313 (get directions)
When: Friday, Sept 6, 2019, from 8:30am – 3:30pm
Price: $25 (get tickets here)

This comprehensive symposium may be excellent for government officials, lawmakers, advocates and employers to attend to get up to date information about Ohio’s new medical marijuana program. That said, the slant appears to be anti-cannabis, so advocates should come prepared to hear that type of debate, and to engage the discussion civilly.

Speakers for this symposium will include: Aaron Weiner, Ph.D., the Director of Addiction Services for Linden Oaks Behavioral Health in Chicago and a national speaker on the clinical implications of marijuana; Marcie Seidel, a member of the Ohio Medical Marijuana Advisory Committee which provides guidance to Ohio’s Medical Marijuana Commission as it oversees the implementation of Ohio’s medical marijuana program, and Karen Pierce, the Managing Director or Working Partners Systems, Inc., an expert on helping employers navigate the uncertainties and impact of Ohio’s Medical Marijuana law.

Are you hosting an event you’d like to see listed here? Do you know about a totally rad cannabis event that you’d like to see us talk about? Just comment below and we’ll be sure to include your event in our next Ohio marijuana events update!
