Packaging: First Impressions

CV #5, or Conjugal Visit #5, is a limited edition strain cultivated by Fire Rock out of Akron, Ohio, and sold under the brand Woodward Fine Cannabis. This strain, a cross of Wedding Cake and Bitch Slap, was the result of a partnership between Fire Rock and the folks at Dark Horse Genetics, who bred the strain.

There’s not much new here in terms of design. This bottle favors a black-and-white prison-themed motif, and pulls it off with style and class, as per usual with Woodward bottles.

Cannabis Look: Out of the Bottle

The bottle of CV #5 that I purchased contained a decent number of buds, each about the size of a quarter. This flower was well cured, with medium density buds that grind easily, though some of the trimming on my nugs was rougher than normal.

Up close, this strain has a rather striking splash of purple on the underside of nearly every flower. There’s also a wonderful banquet of trichomes surrounding every inch of this bud. The trichomes are mostly pearly white, with a few brown trichomes to be found around the purple edges. The calyx structures each feature a mesmerizing balance of amber pistils as well, with some nugs absolutely loaded with pistils, while others have less. Overall, this is a pretty gorgeous flower, with the purple being a serious standout.

Smell Before Vaping

The aroma of Conjugal Visit #5 is quite enticing, and in keeping with many Woodward strains, providing both sweet and gassy delights. As soon as I opened the bottle, I was hit with a lovely sugary scent that reminded me of peach gummy candy. This was followed by a subtle hint of cheese, and a nice rush of pine and lemon. This strain is pretty potent, too, with a gassy quality, so expect the aroma to fill a small room pretty quickly.

The Taste Test

I vaped this medical cannabis with an Arizer ExtremeQ vaporizer. I like to start my first bag at a lower temperature to open the terpenes, and work up to a higher temp to vaporize the cannabinoids.

Once vaped, CV #5 sparks to life with a peppery through-thread, and a spicy, gassy bite. This may yield a few coughs, so be warned. The sugary peach notes I detected in the aroma are found in the aftertaste of this flower, with a vivid pine accent, and just a hint of lemon zest.

I was actually reminded of the soothing aroma of Nag Champa incense while vaping this strain. I’d suggest striking up some incense and pouring a cup of hot herbal tea to compliment this strain.

Medicinal Benefits and Side Effects I Noted

Note: The medicinal benefits noted in this strain profile are for educational purposes only, and are not a substitute for the advice of a medical practitioner or licensed budtender.

Conjugal Visit #5 (CV #5) by Woodward Fine Cannabis is a hybrid strain, a cross of Wedding Cake and Bitch Slap by Dark Horse Genetics. The bottle I purchased contained cannabis with 24.90% THC and 0.09% CBD.

This strain was recommended because of its limited edition availability at current. However, if this strain (or CV #1, another limited edition strain from Woodward) proves a success, it’s possible Ohio medical marijuana patients may see this flower become a regular, much like Grapehead

CV #5 was also recommended for anti-inflammatory properties, stress relief and potent euphoric effects. This strain went right to work, providing intense waves of euphoria, followed by a nice bit of couchlock.

Pain and inflammation were greatly reduced for me during my vaping experience, and anxiety and depression tempered. Gastrointestinal pain was relieved for a few hours as well.

This strain proved to be a wonderful combination of euphoria and relaxation, enough to makes worries and pain wash away.

Please be aware: Percentages of THC, CBD and terpene profiles can vary greatly between cannabis harvests. This means that some strains profiled at 420oh.io will contain higher, exact or lower percentages of active chemical compounds when purchased at Ohio medical marijuana dispensaries during different harvest seasons.
