October is Here! Time to Get Sploofy!
October has finally arrived! It’s still hot as hell, but in just a few short days, that cold Canadian air will gust on through Cleveland, leaving us with chilly temperatures and falling leaves. By the end of the month, we may even see our first snow! Those living in southern Ohio will have a to wait a little longer. In the meantime, we’ve collected a few cannabis events throughout the Buckeye State that you might enjoy.

Vermilion - October 1st 2019:
Medical Marijuana Educational Talk
Where: Ritter Public Library 5680 Liberty Ave. Vermilion, OH 44089 (get directions)

Dr. Corie Kovach MD of Ohio Holistic Healthcare explains the science behind medical marijuana, and why it helps with patients suffering from conditions like cancer, chronic pain or PTSD (among others).
Patients who haven’t yet gotten their medical marijuana card, or patients who may be interested in medical cannabis, should consider attending this event. This will be a great space to learn more about marijuana and how it helps with many conditions. This will also be a great time to get all your questions answered about getting a card and obtaining marijuana.
Yellow Springs - October 1st 2019:
Medical Marijuana - What You Need To Know
Where: Yellow Springs Community Library 415 Xenia Ave, Yellow Springs, OH (get directions)
When: Tuesday, October 1 2019, from 6:30pm – 7:30pm

If Vermilion is a bit far for you, perhaps southern Ohio, just outside Dayton, will do. Patients can attend a patient education event in Yellow Spring on the same night.
This event, hosted by Dr. David Zainey from InteCare Medical Clinic, will spotlight how to get a card, as well as break down some of the negative stigmas surrounding cannabis. Come equipped with your questions and you are sure to get a solid education.
Columbus (also Cleveland & Akron) - October 3rd 2019:
Cannabis Law Conference
Where: Ohio State Bar Association 1700 Lake Shore Dr, Columbus, OH (get directions)
When: Thursday, October 3 2019, from 8:30am – 4:00pm

The Ohio State Bar Association is hosting their first-ever full day Cannabis Law Conference. This event will spotlight current cannabis laws, as well as Ohio’s medical marijuana laws, and what legal experts should know about them.
This event isn’t just located in Columbus, however. This event will be available in other Ohio cities, including Cleveland, Akron, Fairfield, Perrysburg and Celina via telecast. Be sure to view the Ohio State Bar Association website for more details.
